In France, the Méditerranée à Vélo covers 850 km from Perthus to Menton. The route offers a diversity of remarkable landscapes : mountains of the Pyrenees or the Alps, ponds of Narbonne, Languedoc or Camargue Gard, canals of the Midi or the Rhône in Sète, Provençal hinterland and beaches of Languedoc, Roussillon and the Côte d'Azur. The route joins the Canal des Deux Mers à Vélo on the Canal du Midi and the ViaRhôna between Sète and Beaucaire.
